Frank Herries Adams, born on 30 January
1896, was the son of builder James and Mary Ann Hubert,
of L'Aumone, Castel, Guernsey. On 15 December 1915 he
attested for 4 years' service with the Territorials,
Inns of Court OTS. He was based at Gillingham in Kent
where he worked as an Assistant Naval Stores officer
at Chatham. He stayed with them until 1st June 1916,
when he entered Woolwich at the age of 20 years 5 months.
Elizabeth College 1909-14. Passed the
Intermediate Civil Service examinations 1914. Passed
into Woolwich 16th out of 125 candidates.
Commissioned in the RE. Contracted measles
while in camp which proved fatal. Died on the 1st August
1916 aged 20 years.
