Killed, along with at least 68 others, in a TNT explosion
at the Brunner Mond company factory at Silvertown, East
London, aged 26 years. His grave is unmarked.
The memorial nestled under the Docklands
Light Railway in Silvertown, the west face of the memorial
dedicated to the Brunner Mond Company employees who
lost their lives on 19th January 1917.
In 2017 it was relocated to a small
park in the Royal Wharf development, closer to the river
