Missing. Private A Le Cornu of the Kings Royal Rifle Corps is reported missing since 23 August. The soldier formerly resided at Mont Mado and worked at Ronez Quarries, his parents now reside in Guernsey.

Husband of Julia Le Cornu (nee Rimeur) of Mont Mado, Jersey. Native of St Ouen, Jersey.

Killed in action, aged 32 years

Roll of Honour. Another former employee of Ronez Quarries, Adolphus Le Cornu who was serving in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps, has made the supreme sacrifice. This soldier, who was in his 33rd year, was last in Jersey on leave in January and had been in France since March, but unfortunately he was killed in action on 23 August. He leaves a widow, nee Miss Julia Rimeur, who resides at Mont Mado and a child to mourn his loss and to these we tender our sincere sympathy.
