Husband of Mary Elizabeth Sarre. He was discharged in
December 1917
Enlisted on 30/11/1914 in the Army Ordnance Corps.
and transferred to the Middlesex Regiment on 18/06/1917.
Served with the Mediterranean and Egyptian Expeditionary
Force. He had previously served in the Royal Navy 1904-1909
(SS 543 Chatham) and then in the Mercantile Marine.
Admitted to 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester
02/05/1916 to 30/05/1916 with Dysentery, County of London
War Hospital, Epsom 30/08/1916 to 27/09/1916 and to
the Queen Elizabeth Barrack Hospital, London from 23/04/1917
to 01/06/1917 and finally admitted to Fort Pitt on 9
November 1917
Discharged on medical grounds on 12/12/1917. Silver
War Badge no. 139521.
