Carved on the Cambrai East Memorial at Louverval along with a group of R.G.L.I. soldiers with no known grave

 

"Pte. J Marquis was one of the Reservists of the 2nd Batt. RGLI who volunteered in March for service with the 6th Royal Irish Regiment. His home in Guernsey is at the Ville-au-Roi,. He is a son of Mr G Marquis, Grande Rue, St Martin's."
