Lance Corporal Edward Mauger
of the 11th Hussars, born August 1892 killed by a sniper
at Soupir, Battle of the Aisne, Sept. 1914.
Edward Mauger was employed
by Guernsey Telephone Co. before he joined the Hussars.
He was a top marksman and won many competitions. He
was a Maxim machine gunner in the battle, killed by
an enemy fellow marksman.
