Son of Andrew & Caroline Sims, of L'Islet, Guernsey.
Husband of Edith Sims, of 8 Council Cottages, Adams Park Rd., Farnham, Surrey.
Drowned in collision off Queenstown between two Defensively
Armed Merchant Ships.
He was aged 37 years.
His ship collided with Cunard liner SS "Orduna"
off Queenstown (Cobh), Ireland. He was on the oilship
Konakry heading for Trinidad.

1914 Star issued to his widow 28/4/20.
He had served for 16 years before the war and was a
Reservist. Served two years on the Western Front with
a heavy howitzers and anti aircraft guns before serving
with a gun crew on armed merchant ships.
