Born in 1898 at Sark. Son of Elidia Baker and Mary Naftel. Brother of Mary, Ethel, Frank, Peter and Thomas.
Husband of Louisa Mary Carré.

Father of Phyllis, Margaret and Isabel.

Grandfather of Christa, Rosemarie, Christopher, Nigel and Richard.
Died 1973. Aged 75
Lived at Vaurocque and La Ville, Sark.


Private in Royal Guernsey Light Infantry 1329 Part of Reinforcement 1, went to France 24th October 1917.

Taken prisoner 1st December 1917, Minden PoW camp.
Returned to England 29th November 1918.

Discharged due to health, wounds or age. Awarded Discharge Badge.

Member of Methodist Chapel Sunday School. Member of Sark British Legion.
