Private Edwin Walter Bougourd
1st Battalion, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry, transferred to Machine Gun Corps 28/03/1918

Born in 1899 at Vale, Guernsey. Son of Richard Bougourd and Esther Nicolle of Marais, Vale. Brother of William James Bougourd who also served. Was still a schoolboy in 1911.
Originally joined the RGLI (Pte. 1323). Transferred to Machine Gun Corps 28/03/1918. Incorrectly spelled as Bougeard in Diex Aix. After the war he went back to live with his parents and worked as a greenhouse worker for Mr H Du Port at Gran Rue, Vale.
