Sparks Bridle and Isabella Susan Le Poidevin. Husband
of Sarah, m 1897. Joined the Navy in 1892 for 12 years.
Progressed from Boy 2nd class to Chief Petty Officer.
Serving on HMS Larne in 1911. At outbreak of was was
assigned special duties as instructor to naval cadets
in Portsmouth and Southampton. Engaged with motor launch
patrols until March 1920 when he was demobilised. 5ft
2.75in when he joined up and 5ft 7 when he signed on
again in 1904. Brown hair and eyes and dark complexion.
In 1921 was the caretaker of the motor laundry for PA
La Renardie and Bergson shipowners on the Hamble River.
Married to Sarah and living at 44 Nelson Road, Landport.
Sharing house with niece, Gertrude Ada Brache. Died
in 1956 in Gosport aged 82. No children (1911 census)
