Corporal Cecil Arthur Frederick Davis
1st Battalion, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry

 

Reinforcement no.1 24/10/1917. Injured sometime between Jan - Mar 1918, he was in a hospital in Etaples for about 3 weeks and then taken to a hospital in London for several months.
Corporal Davis eventually joined the Middlesex Regiment and became Regimental Sergeant Major, leaving the army in 1936.

 

Born in 1897 at St Peter Port, Guernsey. Son of Arthur James Davis and Edith Maud Burley, his wife.

He died in Edgware in 1981
