Corporal Archibald Christie Edwards
160 Depot Brigade, 28th Coy, 7th Battalion

Born on 3rd Jan 1896 at Vale, Guernsey as the son of George Edwards and Rachel Mauger of Castel Farm, Castel.
He emigrated to the United States in April 1914 and worked as a Machinist for the American Gear Co and was drafted on 5th June 1917.

He married Wilma Carter on 30th May 1923 at Grass Lake, Jackson, Michigan. He died on 25th June 1955 at Saginaw, Michigan.

The article in in the Guernsey Weekly Press said that his commanding officer reported that he had the potential to be a Lieutenant in the Officers Reserve Corps but this does not appear to have happened before he was demobbed.

He was also drafted in WWII but may not have served.
