Able Seaman John Grainger

Born in 1896 at Thornaby, North Yorkshire. Husband of guernsey born Kathleen Harvey. He served in the Guernsey police from 1926 to 1939 when he was conscripted. He rejoined the police and served again from 1945 to 1956
