Born in 1882 at Vale, Guernsey. Husband of Rachel.

The photo was taken in between his promotion to Corporal on 27th June 1915 and promotion to Sergeant on 29 Nov 1915.
Originally with 7th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers, he was transferred to 1st Battalion RGLI and appointed Transport Sergeant on 2nd May 1917. He was reported missing 13th April 1918 at Doulieu . Prisoner of War at Dollman camp. Repatriated to England on 27th Dec 1918

Was in Quebec in 1923
