Private William Mabire
1st Battalion, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry (later Gloucestershire Regiment)

Born in 1895. Son of Joseph and Augustine Mabire, stoneworker in St Peter Port. Brother of Marie and Edward, Blanche, Joseph, Marianne, Anne and Jane. Lived St Peter Port.

Taken prisoner on 1st December 1917 at Cambrai. Returned to England with wounds 1st December 1918.
