Lieutenant William Eli Spiller

He was born 09/08/1898 at St Peter Port,
Guernsey, the son of watchmaker Levi and Ellen Maria
Spiller, née Peake
He attended Elizabeth College, Guernsey (EC3259) from
1912 to 1916.
He died at Hendon, London in 1973
In WW2 he rejoined the British Army and rose to the
rank of Major. He became a member of 2 Commando which
became 11 SAS and eventually became 1st Parachute Battalion.
He was the adjutant of 1st Battalion during WW2 and
eventually became a Captain in the Glider Pilot Regiment.
