Disembarked in France 17/02/1917. 5ft 4in, 118lb, 35in chest. Promoted to skilled rate of engineer pay. 14 days furlough in Feb 1918. Promoted to Superintendent of Engineers 19/09/1918. Another 14 days furlough in Jan 1919. Sent back to UK 25/02/1919. Sons Arthur and Clifford, daughter Elsie. Demobbed 25/03/1919.
