Born in 1893 at Sark. Son of Walter Vibert and Adelina Decaudevilles. Brother of Edward, Walter, Lilian, Charles, Clifford, Lena, Maud and May. Married to Ada Guille. Father of Mary.

Grandfather of Anita. Great-grandfather of Gavin, Vanessa and Lorraine.

Died in 1980 aged 87. Lived at Rue Lucas, Homestead and La Rendezvous, Sark.

Occupation prior to enlisting – fisherman. Private in Royal Guernsey Light Infantry 790.

Part of Reinforcement 1, transferred to France 24th October 1917. Taken prisoner 1st December 1917 at Cambrai, Minden PoW camp. Repatriated to England 1st December 1918.

 

Member of Methodist Chapel Sunday School. Member of Sark British Legion.
