name was Yves Benoit, son of Marie Catherine Benoit
of St Helier.
Died of wounds, aged 21 years
The CWGC and SDGW both
record him as BENSEL. The Devon and Dorsets Museum
at the Keep in Dorchester holds and displays his medals
as BENSEL, however, these are accompanied by
a caption that refers to this as an alias and that his
real name was Yves Benoit.
