Member of the Jersey Company Killed at the Front. To
the long list of Jerseymen who have given up their lives
during the present war another name has to be added,
that of Rifleman C E R Mallet of the Jersey Company
Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed at the Front last
Sunday night. The deceased was 21 and the eldest son
of Mrs P Mallet of Gorey. He was formerly a hairdresser
at Gorey where he had many friends who will hear of
his death with genuine regret. His brother, a lad of
18, Rifleman A Mallet of the same Company is at present
in the Island on a few days leave. We offer our sincere
sympathy to the sorrowing mother and family
