NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Monday 22 February 1915

Another Jerseyman Wounded. News has been received in the Island that Private Michel of the Green Howards has been wounded in action and is now in hospital at Boulogne. The gallant soldier, who hails from St Peter, has received a bullet wound in the neck, but we hope will soon be convalescent.

Roll of Honour. We regret to state that Private J F Michel of the Green Howards, who as we stated on Monday last was wounded in the neck, passed away at Boulogne Hospital on 20 February as a result of his wounds. The soldier was only 27. To his parents, who reside at Les Quennevais, we beg to offer our sincere condolences in their bereavement.
