Born in 1882 at St Helier, Jersey. Son of William Hammond
& Elizabeth Mary nee Le Bailly.
Served 23 Aug 1898 to 21 Jan 1913 then joining RFR.
Mobilised 2 Aug 1914 to 9 Jun 1921
In later years William Hammon was a lighthouse keeper
at La Corbière, Jersey
Uncle Willie married Georgia Florence Gallichan known
as Aunt Florrie, on 29th December 1910 at Gouray Church.
He died on 6th July 1953 of a Cerebral Haemorrhage/
Pneumonia and his funeral was held at St. Brelade's
Parish Church on 9th July 1953
