276 Channel Islanders are known to have participated in the battle on 31st
May 1916 and 63 gave their lives on the day or subsequently*
To mark the 100th anniversary of the battle Mark Bougourd
has compiled this Roll of Honour & Service, from
surviving records and newspaper reports, to remember
these men.
