Son of the late Captain Thomas & Jane Blondel of Le Douit, St. Saviour's, Guernsey. Born at La Volante, St Saviour's, he emigrated to Canada in 1912.

Enlisted in Canada Sept. 1914.

Killed in action, aged 27 years

For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During an attack "he displayed the greatest courage and coolness whilst leading his two machine-gun detachments to a most advanced position under very heavy shell fire, assuming the command of the section after the officer was badly wounded".
